The front length of the jacket, or to put it differently, how much of the waistcoat should show at the bottom hem, offers great potential for dispute. Opinions vary widely, and fierce arguments ensue. At the end of the day, after consulting all accessible and expert sources, we produce our tailcoat as pictured. It's simply a matter of taste, as evidenced by the fact that even the protocol of the German Foreign Office cannot give us a clear answer. Well. To ease the tension, let it be said: due to the variable length of the waistcoat (length adjustable at the neck ring of the waistcoat), you have some leeway and can show exactly the amount of waistcoat at the bottom that you deem appropriate. We believe: the less, the better (unlike what the product image here suggests – we will re-photograph it at some point), but we often stand alone in this opinion, so: please do it as you see fit.
