Why do we offer waistcoats primarily in long sizes? It's simple: so that no shirt flashes between the waistcoat hem and the waistband of the trousers. Because that simply doesn't look good. Obvious? We think so too. "But I wear a size 50 - what size should I take then?" Also simple. To calculate, you double your known clothing size. So that would be 100. However, since a 100 does not exist for textile technical reasons, you take a 98, because the basic formula is clothing size x 2 - 2. (50x2=100 -2 = recommended long size: 98).
