Does 'Erdbeerkörbchen' ring a bell?

Yes, polo shirt under a jacket, difficult, difficult. It immediately gives off Sascha Hehn vibes, making you want to jump into a white golf convertible and pick up the night nurse from her early shift. Well, you know what we mean, maybe not, anyway: not wearing a shirt, especially under a jacket, feels unusual. Even just because the cuff is missing at the wrist, that feeling of short sleeves. But it goes even further: tone-on-tone is usually unthinkable for us. We're not designers or architects, after all. Nothing against these professions, quite the opposite, great respect, great sympathy, but keeping everything within a monochromatic framework simply isn't our idea. Or perhaps it is?
Because: Jacket "Louis" is here. That's what this is actually about, the introduction was accidentally too long this time, but oh well, never mind, back to the text. "Louis" then. A beautiful linen jacket, dark blue herringbone, light, summery, crinkled, casual, linen-y. It arrived last week, and then we were told: "Put it on and take pictures of it," and of course, we did just that.
And because it was so Southeast Asian-humid last week, we wore a polo shirt and chinos. The new, very wide, eight (8). All very casual, but as I said, it was warm up in our attic. Well, we just threw on the linen jacket, went for lunch and thought: It doesn't look wrong at all. Not at all Black Forest Clinic-ish or Erik-Spiekermann-standing-at-the-Heidelberg-cylinder-ish. Honestly, it was just a good, unpretentious, well-rounded look, all dark blue on dark blue on dark blue.
So we ate tartare and took photos. And you can see the result here now. Good pictures, good sight, good style. Or "Stil"? That too, probably. In the words of Elke Heidenreich: "Well."
